Chasing a daunting target, Afghanistan never truly threatened. Rahmanullah Gurbaz provided an aggressive start with 41, while Rahmat Shah battled hard for a gritty 79. However, the required rate kept climbing, and wickets fell at regular intervals. India’s bowling attack maintained complete control throughout the chase. Arshdeep Singh struck crucial blows in the top and middle order, while Gurnoor impressed with his pace and bounce to claim three wickets.
