Former Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe scored twice as Ivory Coast secured second place in World Cup Group E as new boys Curacao head home.
Ivory Coast were on top throughout with Pepe scoring two fine goals either side of half time.
They progress to the round of 32 where they are currently projected to face Norway, while Curacao bow out with a point and a goal from their World Cup bow.
It’s the first time Ivory Coast have made it out of the group stage in their fourth World Cup.
Germany win the group despite losing to Ecuador in New Jersey.
In-demand Yan Diomande showed great trickery and poise down the left to create the opener, picking out Pepe to score at the near post.
And 20 minutes into the second half Pepe laced in a fine curling shot across goal and in to wrap up the win.
Diomande is a reported £100m+ target for Liverpool and he was again highly impressive. The youngster has created 10 chances and completed 10 dribbles in his opening three World Cup games.
