Kaden Hopkins and his Vendee U Cycling teammates were back in action competing in Stage Seven of the 73rd Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, the Morne-à-l’Eau›Petit-Canal 159.9km road race.
Hopkins was in a 135 kilometer breakaway with eight other riders from Columbia, Spain, France, Dominican Republic, Belgium and Canada.
Hopkins finished 4th, clocking the same time of 3:36:18 as the top 7 riders, Juan Hoyos was declared the stage winner.
Hopkins is now 27th overall in the Grand Championship clocking an overall time of 26:27:12, he is 36:29 behind the overall leader Kevin Miranda who has a combined time of 25:50:43.
Hopkins gained the Green Jersey back as the rider with the most points. Hopkins and his teammates are in third place with a combined time of 78:14:24.
