Bermuda’s cycling team made an outstanding start at the Caribbean Road Cycling Championships in Guyana, winning four medals in the first day of competition.
The Bermuda Bicycle Association said, “Huge congratulations to Team Bermuda on an incredible Day 1 at the Caribbean Road Cycling Championships in Guyana! 4 Bermuda cyclist = 4 medals
“In today’s individual time trial:
- Elite Men: Conor White claimed the gold medal with the fastest overall time of 41:32.52, with Kaden Hopkins securing silver just 35 seconds behind!
- U23 Men: Nic Narraway earned silver, finishing less than 2 seconds behind Puerto Rico’s Christopher Morales and clocking the 5th fastest male time across both U23 and Elite!
- Elite Women: Gabriella Arnold took silver, finishing only 5 seconds behind Bernece Paul of Guadeloupe.
“Tomorrow, Tyler Smith joins Conor and Kaden for the road race as all our athletes hit the road again. Let’s cheer them on for another strong performance.”
