The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be hosting a drone show on Wednesday evening [Nov 13] which “will feature 250 choreographed drones which will illuminate the night sky over Hamilton Harbour.”
A spokesperson said, “The Butterfield Bermuda Championship in partnership with Mastercard will be hosting Bermuda’s first-ever drone show on Wednesday, 13 November at 8:30pm local time to celebrate the tournament and welcome players, caddies and fans to the island.
“The show will feature 250 choreographed drones which will illuminate the night sky over Hamilton Harbour with a performance that tells a story of Bermuda as part of a private event. The display will last for 15 minutes but will be visible from Front Street, which event organisers suggest is a good viewing location for the community to enjoy.”
Tournament Director, Danielle Carrera, said: “We are very excited to be bringing the first-ever drone show to Bermuda as we welcome everyone to the island for the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The show itself is for part of our welcome celebration for participants but reflects our ongoing efforts to bring fresh, new community initiatives to the tournament. Having been awarded Bermuda’s Best Spectator Event in 2023, we are keen to do more this year and so if you haven’t got your tickets yet for the tournament, make sure you do.”
The spokesperson said, “The 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, an official PGA Tour event, takes place at Port Royal Golf Course and opens to public from Thursday, 14 November until Sunday, 17 November. Tickets are available to purchase online at https://butterfieldbdachampionship.shop.”
