Bermudian professional boxer Tyler Christopher continues to advance in and out of the ring as he expands his coaching qualifications with an England Boxing Safeguarding and Protecting Children certificate.
Christopher, who has a perfect record of nine wins, is helping train amateurs at the D&A Boxing School of Excellence in Stirchley, Birmingham, where he also hones his craft.
The southpaw, who moved to England more than four years ago, wrote on social media yesterday [November 11]: “I’m now qualified to be in spaces around vulnerable people to ensure their mental, physical and emotional safety.
“Next, I’ll be going for [the] Level 1 coaching certification to help the next generation of boxers at the D&A Boxing School of Excellence.
“My boxing knowledge will be used to analyse boxers’ fights to help address their weaknesses and mistakes.”
The 28-year-old, who won nine of his 12 amateur fights, defeated Cameroonian Serge Ambomo on points in his previous outing at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport in May.
